New Update
So, it's been a pretty long time since I've posted a new blog on mindsay...I'd say it's about damn time I've written something new. I guess I kinda lost my interest of mindsay to facebook and myspace, but I'll try to keep posting new entries...no guarantees though! Now, where to start?? Well, I'm in my sophomore year (yes, I somehow magically survived freshman year) at Keuka...blah!! (Can't ya tell I just wanna get the hell off this campus, lol)! I've finally picked a major, it's Management w/ a concentration in Human Resources. I no longer live in Saunders, I live in Harrington which is pretty much the nicest dorm on campus and I have 2 pretty cool roommates- Sara and Ashley. My roommate from freshman year, Nicole, left us recently basically because she couldn't take the stress of Keuka College anymore and she's taking a semester off to go back home to California. Can't blame her I guess...she was a pretty long way from home. Both of my wonderful brothers got married last year and I'm happy to say that I was a bridesmaid in both of their weddings and I had an absolute blast because I shared those celebrations with my closest friends. That just leaves me...the baby of the family ^__^ I recently came back from Italy, which is where I ended up doing my field period for this year. Let's just say, that was an experience of a lifetime I'll never forget. I really wish I could do it all over again, except bring all my friends this time!! Oh, almost forgot, I turned 20 a few weeks back and I still feel great, but I do feel more mature than I did during my crazy mixed-up teenage years, lol! Other than that, my life is pretty much the same, but it's still pretty damn great for the most part. I still have the same awesome and best friends I could ever ask for and I still live just to kick ass and have fun with life!! Wow, what a great new blog...not!! Anyway, at least I gave a little bit of an update on my life. We'll see if a new update comes along soon... ^__^
Keuka Snowball
Last night was the Keuka Snowball at the RIT Inn and Conference Center in Rochester. I had the most wonderful time. I invited one of my best friends- Mr. Matt Minotti to be my date and I would say that we definitely had a kick-ass time. Yesterday, my day started out at 9:15 with a hair appointment and I spent a few hours getting ready until about 4:00 when I started to head up to Matt's house. The original plan was that we were gonna head up to the Snowball and then head back to Elmira when the dance ended at midnight. Matt's parents however had a different and better idea. They said that instead of driving the full 2 hours back to Elmira, Matt and I could drive for only about an hour and stay at their lake house on Keuka lake right across from my campus. This was definitely a better idea because this would save my parents a trip. They wouldn't have to worry about getting me back up to school; it was just a lot more convienent. So anyways, after this ordeal was sorted out, I had to run back up to my house and pack my things in like 2 minutes because Matt was gonna be right behind me. As soon as I got to my house, I packed my things to go back to Keuka and, Matt got to my house, and we finally started to head out. It wasn't until about 3 minutes down the road that I had realized that I had forgotten my dorm key. I thought to myself "Oh SHIT," we have to turn around. I told Matt and we were both like "Oh SHIT." LOL. We turned around going about 80 mph on my road (jk, lol) and I ran back into my house and I finally got it. We were finally able to get on the road, yay! A little later I called my parents and told them about the change of plans and they were cool about it. Thankfully, we got there without getting lost or getting a ticket for going too fast, lol. We walked into the RIT Inn and we were some of the first people there which was kinda weird because I thought we were gonna be a little late because of that incident with me forgetting my dorm key and having to go back to my house. Anyway, once we got there we got our seats at our table and pretty soon the limos began to arrive and many more people began to arrive. We finally found Mike Anthony (one of my other buddies at Keuka) and he and his date sat with us at our table. I was sooooo happy that he was at our table because he's one person I know really well up at school (plus Matt and I went to high school with him). Before we knew it, the night had begun. We had our dinner (mine consisted of a salad, steak which was kinda bleeding, lol but it was still ok, and for dessert we had this chocolate mousse with this raspberry sauce. Omg, it was soooooo frickin' good. Afterwards, me and my Keuka friends danced the night away. We all tried to get Matt to dance a little, but it's nearly impossible, lol. The point is that we ALL had a blast. I wish I could do it all over again =) After the dance, Matt and I headed up to his house on the lake and we both just collapsed on the bed and went to sleep. We were exhausted. The next morning, Matt's mother kept calling because he had to be home for Youth Group, but there was no way we were gonna make it back in time because I slept in so late like I always do, lol. Jeez Matt, don't be afraid to wake me up, just jump on me and push me off the bed if you need to, lol. After I got my lazy ass up, we left the lake house and I went back to school. Later I got a call from Kristie- THE BEST chica in the whole wide world. We talked for a little bit about Snowball and I told her about my great time. Kristie, I wish you could've been there. You would've kicked major ass, lol. But don't worry 'cause I'll be home on Friday, yay! Anyway, I had one hell of a night and thanks Matt for going with me =)
